An open-cut ditch across Backbone Road linked the greenhouse complex to the campus water system for potable water and volume to supply the required fire hydrant near the Headhouse complex. Addition conduit will provide optic fiber links from the weather station, controllers, environmental sensors to agriculture researchers in the Plant and Soil Science building.
