 About This Site
"The Lower Eastern Shore Heritage Committee (LESHC) is a grassroots, tax-exempt organization whose purpose is to preserve, protect and promote the historical, cultural and natural heritage of Maryland's Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties.
The LESHC advocates economic development in keeping with the unique character of the area by providing education, technical support and resources to local citizens and organizations." This project is funded in part with state funds from the Maryland Commission For Celebration 2000 and a grant from the Rural Development Center, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and the Economic Development Administration.
