Bicycling
Biking along the flat gentle roads of this area will bring you through unspoiled countryside, natural forests, historic villages and along meandering creeks giving you the opportunity to experience genuine friendliness and local charm. Flat lands, at or below sea level offer the first-time cyclist easy pedaling. A comfortable bike with at least three gears is suitable. Biking along the Eastern Shore is a great family outdoor adventure. Pick up a brochure or map of the View Trail 100 bike trail through Worcester County. This scenic ride follows over 100 miles of back country roads and traverses several wildlife habitats, historic towns and true Eastern Shore culture. Stop at a country store and have lunch or visit a historic home and trace the roots of this region.
